This is the section of my most recent works, without an overall moodboard or inspiration since they’re designed as unique items for production and made using already existing images; despite that, I’m always trying to keep trends and various themes as references.
Aevintiri creates timeless pieces to express the wonderful complexity of a contemporary woman. A woman who wishes to affirm and communicate through what she wears and the places she lives. A woman who is determined in her life without giving up her femininity, her dreams and her natural sweetness. Each piece is expertly crafted by skilled artisans, using high quality fabrics, with unique prints, colors and patterns.
This collection represents a time of spiritual rebirth and healing, the reincarnation of self-love, of self-realization, of newfound trust; the same stage that involves the blossoming of a flower once the harsh winter is over, after it has struggled against all odds, trying to be stronger than any obstacle.
This project enlightens us on all that is beauty and imperfection. A new Wabi Sabi aesthetic, applied to garments, expressed as tangles of thread, stains, patches, wrinkled fabrics and burns. We are talking about chaotic folds, encrusted fantasies, fraying and holes caused by the object’s overuse and the passing of time.
The darkest night lit up by the stars: a tale told with blueish and opalescent fabrics, some with the addition of small elements like studs, glitters or pearls.
A really childish idea: a spoiled, dull, extremely proud girl, who only cares about how her hair look today, how many gowns she has in the wardrobe, or what pleases her most. Among these, more than anything, sweets. Donuts, candies, lollipops, chewing gums, marshmallows; a sugary world, full of frivolity and temptations.
Inspired to the theme of Met Gala 2019, my version of Camp comes into one of the most representative forms of humor, theatricality and extravagance: circus. It’s playing, making fun of yourself and others with irony and lightness, it means showing off what you are, coming out, and burning without fear of being extinguished; to be brave and build the strenght to try things you have never done before, getting out of your comfort-zone. It means giving even more value to what is different, strange, unusual and unique, even in seemingly small and insignificant details.
